Fighting off the bug...hahaha, no pun intended, okay a little bit...

For those of you who haven't heard, Elder Boren has been fighting off an infection related to a centipede bite last week.  He was hospitalized for one night, but since then has been treated at the Mission Recovery Center.  They are taking very good care of him and have kept us updated on his status.  We appreciate your support and prayers and know that Elder Boren does as well.

Just kidding..."Without humor life is a drag"

Brother and Sister Boren,

Your son , Elder Collin Lyle Boren has recently been assigned as a "New Missionary Trainer" in the Samoa Apia Mission.  It is very important for each new missionary to get a good start as a missionary.  After several weeks of MTC training, continued training is up to the new missionary's senior companion.

Your son  has proven faithful and prepared to become a 'trainer' for a new missionary.  I appreciate his  dedication to the service as well as obedience to the mission rules.  It is a great opportunity and responsibility to become a special 'trainer' for a new missionary.

Your son has a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is a good and faithful servant in the missionary work.  Thank you for sharing him  with us at this time.

Sincerely,

Johnny L. Leota
President Samoa Apia Mission
